HOW DO I PREPARE
FOR MY APPOINTMENT ?
-
Make sure to keep your cat indoors the day of the appointment.
-
A calm environment is important for your cat to feel comfortable. Avoid visitors at the same time as the vet appointment.
-
If the cat is naturally timid with strangers, make sure to isolate him in a room without hiding places (ex: bathroom) 10 to 15 minutes before the appointment. The exam could be performed in this room.
-
It is always appropriate to limit hiding places, by closing the doors of certain rooms, for example.
-
Prepare a large bath towel. It may be useful if restraint is required.
Take note that the exam can done on the floor or on a kitchen counter depending on your preferences and those of your kitty!
